A New Dedicated Fashion Accessories Trade Exhibition
in London for Design-led Labels that Gild our World
Featuring directional, fun and forward accessories across all price points and market categories, GILD will provide a much-needed platform in London dedicated to Accessories for Labels and Designers to meet with key buyers and fashion editors from the UK and internationally. The first edition will take place in August 2007 on the 5th 6th & 7th during Londons Market Week when key UK & International Buyers visit the capital. Already creating a buzz amongst Buyers and Press, GILD
is a new initiative organised by the team behind successful upscale streetwear exhibition Margin. Recent editions of Margin have seen a marked increase in accessories, from Headwear to Footwear, Bags to Belts, Jewellery to Underwear.
There has also been a strong demand from the key buyers who regularly visit Margin who have responded well to the creative accessories collections and have been asking for more.
To distinguish and highlight these labels from the upscale streetwear and directional tailoring of Margin, the first edition of GILD will debut in August 2007 next to Margin at the Central London location of The Vinyl Factory Gallery in Soho. As such GILD will benefit from the established visitor traffic of Margin and the location is well-known to all fashion buyers and press and is within easy reach of key stores and magazine offices as well as other London shows. Buyers and press have responded well to the relaxed welcoming intimacy of Margin and we aim to provide the same level of inclusive, swift-entry service to the visiting Buyers and Press of GILD
. GILD is currently accepting applications from progressive designers and the response has been great from labels such as Italian accessories label Babbu & UK jewellery brand Punky Pins proving the demand for a new showcase of creative accessories.
ACCESSORIES GILD LONDON New accessories event in London looking to fill the gap left since the now defunct Eye2Eye show closed Gild is aiming to be more successful by timing their event during the buyer focused August market week as opposed to the press focused Fashion week and by locating the show in central London instead of east. Hatform Hatform is the headwear label created and conceived by Scottish artist and designer, Rosy Naylor
Fusing art with fashion, Rosy draws on her background in art. She originally studied conceptual art at Glasgow School of Art before training in millinery.
Each hat retains its minimalistic aesthetic, with random stitching and doodle drawing used to disrupt the purity of the unseamed felt. The forms, in many ways like exaggerated caps, play with muted tones of mustard, teal, bronze and charcoal set against a contrast of icy winter white.
