With the February 2012 edition marking 10 Years of Margin, we’re feeling retrospective +
We’re proud of the launchpad we’ve given to new & young brands over a decade of shows, so we’ll be looking back over the years at just some of the brands that have launched & grown at Margin +
Below we profile and hear from Lazy Oaf who started exhibiting at Margin back in August 2003 +
In the independent-rich complex of The Forum, Fuse has been providing Sheffield with streetwear for over 18 years +
Brands include previous Margin exhibitors such as Lazy Oaf, King Apparel, Eastpak, Get Cutie, and Vacant, along with Dickies, The Quiet Life, The Hundreds, Rebel 8, Mishka, Crooks & Castles, and 10 Deep +
Established in 1991, Thunderegg in Manchester offers cute-as-a-button gifts and accessories alongside independent womenswear brands +
Art-driven prints, gifts, and toys sit next to retro-influenced homewares, all with a healthy dose of fun +
Brands include previous Margin exhibitors including Lazy Oaf, Emily & Fin, Get Cutie, Sugarhill Boutique, Brat & Suzie, Kate Garey, Hicalorie, Me & Yu, and many more +
Gaf offer a delightful blend of gifts, homewares, accessories and fashion where one can easily lose time browsing and discovering +
Just down the road from the beach in Tynemouth, Gaf mix labels such as Emily & Fin, Lazy Oaf, Me & Zena, Stolen Thunder, Brat & Suzie, and Kate Garey (who have all exhibited at Margin), with adorable homewares and gifts from the likes of Rob Ryan +

Opened in 2006 as a creative outlet for Bristol artists through their eponymous label, My Yard has grown over the years into a multibrand store specialising in upscale streetwear for men with a contemporary young fashion offering for women. Over two floors, My Yard carries mens brands Ames Bros, Lazy Oaf, Dephect, and their own label, who all made their UK trade debut at Margin. Womenswear includes Margin exhibitors Found and Grizzly Nights as well as an edited vintage section.

Close to Cardiff Castle in High Street Arcade, Lunacy sources unique and quirky womenswear and accessories to offer their customers a stylish and independent alternative to the nearby shopping malls. As well as larger labels such as Eucalyptus, Irregular Choice, Soaked and Tofu, Lunacy go out of their way to track down new and young designers including Miss Milne, Uma Jane, Girl from Blue City, Antoinette, Ruby Rocks and Lazy Oaf, all of whom made their trade debuts at Margin.

Established in 2005, Social provides a quirky and unique mix of contemporary and vintage, across clothing, accessories, homewares and gifts. From larger clothing brands such as Lee Jeans, Obey and Ben Sherman, to young up-and-coming labels including Lazy Oaf, Liberty Blue, and Terratag (who all made their debut at Margin), Social provide locals with a one-stop concept shop on their doorstep.

With their own range of retro print-inspired womenswear, Get Cutie have established themselves in Brightons North Lanes with a mix of affordable womens clothing and accessories under their own label and from other designers such as Yamama, Traffic People, and Lazy Oaf who have all exhibited at Margin. Fun, sometimes a bit kitsch, but always wearable, Get Cutie attracts women of all ages looking for something fresh.
