Sportswear International<br /> 28 Jul. 2010</p> <p>MARGIN LONDON: NEW AND ESTABLISHED BRANDS WILL EXHIBIT<br /> Margin, the British streetwear fair, has announced a host of new and established streetwear and young fashion brands for its August 2010 edition.</p> <p>New UK and international brands making their British trade debut from August 1-2 at Music Rooms in London include womenswears Eva Evanovich, Am Golhar and ALQ UK, and premium denims Makia from Finland, Garcia Madrid from Spain and Articalizm from Japan.</p> <p>Margin will also see the return of several established brands to London that have not exhibited in the UK for over two years. Obey will show its full range of womenswear and accessories (artist Shepard Fairey will display his artwork in the magazine lounge), along with established brands WeSC, Gravis, Vestal, True Love & False Idols, and Duffs. Terratag and Dephect will also return with new collections. And after an absence of more than four years, the cult streetwear brand Silas will return to the UK and make its show debut at Margin London.</p> <p>Margin is an independent trade exhibition for directional mens and womens clothing and accessories in London. SHEPARD FAIREY at MARGIN<br /> AUGUST 2010<br /> Since 1989, the Obey street art campaign has become an important urban phenomenon, subconsciously touching those aware of their environment.<br /> Through the vision of Shepard Fairey, Obey has evolved into one of the most controversial yet influential symbols of the 21st century.<br /> Derived from Andre the Giant, a pop-culture athlete in the eighties, the Obey icon has appeared in developed and rural cities around the world. SHEPARD FAIREY at MARGIN<br /> AUGUST 2010<br /> The images Shepard Fairey uses in his art includes historical propaganda, Black Power, parodies of authority and tweaks of popular culture icons.<br /> Shepard’s work deconstructs how powerful visuals and emotionally potent phrases can be used to manipulate and indoctrinate.<br /> A selection of Shepard Fairey prints will be on display in the Magazine Lounge at Margin in August 2010.

Drapers NEWS FASHION Rule it in: Obey back at Margin Obey, the US streetwear brand, will return to UK trade show Margin on August 1-2 to showcase its expanded womenswear collection. The autumn 10 range offers tailored outerwear and bike-inspired denim contrasted with delicate knits and gossamer dresses. It will be available for immediate delivery. Prices are from £10 to £40.
