SILAS
After an absence of some years when the label was only available in Japan, seminal streetwear label Silas returned to the UK when they exhibited their menswear at Margin in August 2010 & February 2011. Following the successful re-introduction of the brand to Europe, Silas are now bringing their womenswear back to the UK. Silas will be making their European trade debut with their collection of women’s clothing and accessories exclusively at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012. Highly wearable pieces, that quickly become wardrobe favourites, transcend age groups and sit well in all types of boutique.
MAGMA
After ten years since opening, famous bookstore Magma has developed their own line of products which will be making their global trade debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012. Various artists and illustrations have been invited to contribute to the first collection of clothing, bags, cushions, wrapping papers, and art prints, including Adrian Johnson, Nigel Peaks, Paul Blow & Polly Horner. In addition, Magma has collaborated with Laurence King on a beautifully-produced series of notebooks, journals, sketchbooks, and playing cards, including the Fashion Sketchbook and the Bicycle Travel Journal.
OUT OF PRINT
Returning to Margin following their successful European debut in August 2011, Out of Print will be showcasing their latest library of literary prints. Perhaps it’s the love of a favourite book or perhaps it’s the faux-intellectualism of pretending to have read a classic tome when you haven’t; either way the Out of Print range of classic book covers printed onto butter-soft vintage-feel cotton tees, sweatshirts and tote bags, has proved a winning range that takes the typical rock-band tee to a different, more widely-read level. With ebooks on Kindles and iPads fast becoming a favoured medium, the nostalgia generated by the original paperback covers is irresistible. Out of Print will be exhibiting exclusively outside of the USA at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012.
ICHIBAN
Making their global trade debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012, Ichiban Clothing is a graphic-led UK streetwear label with a unique signature. With witty graphics and a wry social perspective that is rarely present in contemporary streetwear, Ichiban produces a limited-edition range of wearable art that is truly frame-worthy. The range by Ichiban, which translates to “number one” or “best”, includes tees, sweatshirts, snapbacks, and jackets.
GINGKO PRESS
We’re pleased to welcome back Gingko Press following their UK trade debut at Margin in August 2011. Gingko Press produce amazing publications that cover art, street culture, illustration, photography, packaging, graphics, interiors (home and retail), and any other subject that’s worthy of a beautifully-constructed tome. From the Untitled series to Shepard Fairey and Banksy, Gingko Press have got your modern book needs covered. Not just accessories (although there’s no doubting they make any coffee table look impressive), the works of Gingko Press are essential reference for any contemporary library. Gingko Press will be exhibiting exclusively at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012.
THOM WILL LOVE
Making their global trade debut at Margin, Thom Will Love is a new lifestyle brand making sports-inspired clothing for men and women. Designed and made in London from carefully-selected high quality and performance fabrics, Thom Will Love combines bold asymetric colour blocking with monochrome tones and classic shapes to create future-inspired streetwear.
Trikki
Following their global trade debut at Margin in August 2010, Trikki are returning to Margin with their latest collection of menswear. Manufactured ethically in Portugal, the Trikki range of premium streetwear includes jackets, tops, tees, trousers, and denim. Profilic bloggers and tweeters, Trikki have already amassed a core fanbase of consumers & musicians eager to see what the brand produces next.
